Merge Mansion
Strange on purpose, and specifically not misleading
Why this one is here. As a control. A directory that only ever says guilty is not a register, it is a pillory.
What the ads show. Odd, cryptic scenes involving a grandmother and a mansion, withholding almost everything rather than promising a gameplay that does not exist. They are strange on purpose.
What the game is. A merge puzzle with a story layer, which is roughly what the ads imply, once you accept that they imply very little.
The distinction. The games press explicitly separates the cheeky approach taken here from that of the titles the ASA ruled against, and credits the game's following to the campaign rather than to the puzzle loop underneath. Being weird is not the same as being misleading. An ad can withhold without lying.
Read this listing before you read the others. It is the line this site is trying to hold.
