Lane shooter in the ads, base builder in the game
What the ads show. Lane-based action where you shoot numbered gates to grow a squad against waves of zombies, fronted in one major campaign by Antony Starr, best known as Homelander in The Boys.
What the game is. A base-building strategy game with hero recruitment, resource management and alliances.
Status. No ruling. Covered by the tech press, which noted the advertised central mechanic is essentially absent from the game. Same development team as Top War, which the ASA did rule on in 2022.
Context. This is not a fringe title: over two billion dollars in lifetime revenue by February 2025 and one of the five highest-grossing mobile games of 2024.
