Guns of Glory
The case that raises the affiliate-network defence
The allegation. A 2017 thread on the Age of Empires II Steam forum reported that Guns of Glory trailers used footage from Cossacks, Empire: Total War and Age of Empires II.
What the game is. A base-building strategy game, from the same publisher as King of Avalon.
The key detail. A player contacted support and was told the company only answers for its official advertising, not for ads coming from unofficial sources.
Why this matters for the whole directory. Mobile user acquisition runs through affiliate networks and third-party creative shops, so the publisher named on an ad did not necessarily make it. That defence is real and it is the single biggest hole in any accusation of this type. Every listing in this category should say who is alleged to have produced the ad, not just which game it promoted.
